Civil servants play a vital role in building the Nation. It is of utmost importance, that civil servants should be principled and have vision to ensure that the results of the policies of the government must reach down to the common man.
For the same purpose, SAMKALP was established in Delhi in 1986 in to groom candidates to take up the administrative services of the country as a career with a missionary zeal, nationalistic spirit and a total commitment towards basic human values. SAMKALP strives to inspire in them, a sense of confidence & determination to become better administrators.
They were required to show leadership qualities and exceptional management skills besides innovative thinking. SAMKALP strives to imbibe in them the values of Honesty, Integrity, Compassion, Social Commitment, Excellence, Foresightedness, Determination and Devotion towards duty, along with loyalty and dedication to the national cause. It inculcates true Indian values and ethos.
From the very beginning, continuous efforts were made to infuse these qualities thoroughly and meticulously planned activities at different level in a progressive manner.
Efforts of team members brought a big success. At present, there are 4 hostels in Delhi with 200 hosteler aspirants are preparing for Civil Services. Guidance and coaching to more than 1800 dayschlors candidates is provided in Delhi every year.
On demand of the candidates from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh, coaching and guidance programme has been started at Chandigarh Samkalp Branch at Sewa Bharti Bhawan,Plot No. 1, Sector-29 A, Chandigarh.
